Either the MARGARET or SARAH BOWATER going down the East River with Manhattan on the right and the tall white United Nations Building then the wharf used until about 1968 just to the right of the forward king posts. The ship would have come down through Long Island Sound and through Hells Gate, possibly after dropping off cargo at New London or Providence.
