A tanker in one of the Seaway locks and us at the lay-by waiting for the lock to lower the tanker and for the tanker to exit the lock. In the lay-by you may move the ship forward a ship length every 30 minutes or so as ships moved in and out the locks, one down, one up, one down, one up etc. It was a little faster if there was only traffic going one way.Courtesy of Tom Kearsey.
